In cooperation with Windhoff AG (manufacturer of the driven rail vehicles “MPV”, on which the laying units were built), ZECK GmbH has delivered four catenary laying units to OLE & Distribution Alliance for renewing the catenary wire of the West Coast Main Line (between London and Manchester).

Since 2001, the machines have been working 6 days a week to the full satisfaction of the customer. Already in June 2002, a first jubilee was celebrated: the 500th Wire Run. In the meantime, theses catenary wire laying machines have been awarded the Quality in Construction Award 2003 for „Research & Development“. In its edition of March 26, 2003, the technical journal “Construction News” dedicated a report to the laying units.

The State Premier of Bavaria awarded the Bavarian State Prize 2005 to the cable dolly LF 923 for overhead lines.

Furthermore, we were recognized in 2010 by Mr. Martin Zeil, the Bavarian State Minister for Economy, Infrastructure, Traffic and Technology for our strong growth and sales increase as well as for our above-average personnel increase. ZECK was among “Bavaria’s Best 50” companies.
