Michael Zeck establishes a company specializing in the manufacturing, repair, and trade of agricultural machines.
1947
FRITZ ZECK JOINS THE BOARD
In 1947, Fritz Zeck started working at ZECK after receiving training in agricultural machinery engineering from various companies like Allgaier-Porsche and Claas.
In 1953, he obtained his master's certificate in the trade of agricultural machinery, highlighting his expertise and dedication to the company.
1966
First construction of overhead transmission machines
Fritz Zeck begins the development and manufacturing of machines for the construction of overhead transmission lines.
1972
First puller-tensioner machine WB 1500/6
The ZECK Company achieves a significant milestone by developing the world's first puller-tensioner combination machine WB 1500/6
1977
Project Elbe Crossing
In a notable achievement, SIEMENS utilizes the ZECK PULLER (SPW5) to erect the world's tallest transmission tower at that time.
The tower is located near Stade, alongside the river "Elbe." With a remarkable height of 227 meters and weighing a staggering 1000 tons, this transmission tower becomes a prominent landmark.

Synchronization System

Project Bosporus
380 kV Overhead transmission line over the Bosporus. SIEMENS utilizes ZECK pullers and tensioners. Find out more about the SIEMENS project
1993
Michael Zeck jr. joins the board | Relocation of ZECK
Michael Zeck Jr., the next generation of the Zeck family, assumes a significant role within the company by becoming a member of the board.
The company undergoes a relocation to a new and improved company building.
1996
Production of catenary installation units
ZECK expands its product offerings to include the production of catenary installation units. Marking a new milestone in rail technology.
2011
Founding of ZECK TSE, Thailand
Michael Zeck and Dirk Braun-Friderici establish ZECK TSE and launch ISO 9001-compliant production of braided steel ropes and steel reels
2013
Project Gotthard Base Tunnel, Switzerland
The Gotthard Base Tunnel, which runs through the Alps in Switzerland, is the world’s longest railway tunnel. The overhead contact line, a catenary system Type Re250 GBT was installed with a ZECK Catenary Installation Unit BM 954 by Kummler+Matter.

2017
ZECK Acquires MDC, France
Maintenance du Centre located in Mignières/France is joining ZECK group and expands our product range, which now includes rail-road machines for catenary installation and rail construction.

ZECK Servicepoint, Wolfenbüttel
Opening of ZECK Servicepoint in Wolfenbüttel, offering service and maintenance for rail-road vehicles.

Fritz Zeck
After a fulfilling life, our company founder, Fritz Zeck, peacefully fell asleep on February 19, 2021.
We are very proud and grateful for the legacy he has left behind in his 91 years of life, and we will continue to pursue it in his spirit.

ZECK Training Academy
Completion of the new ZECK Training Academy, providing training programs in overhead line construction.
